Colleen and Nick chose the Mountain View Grand because, as Colleen says, “The landscaping is beautiful and the mountain views are just stunning. Inside the hotel the décor is classic and elegant, and it has by far the best ballroom I have seen. All of the staff are extremely welcoming, making the resort atmosphere feel really comfortable and welcoming.”
The bride handled the wedding planning with a navy blue color scheme and complementary jewel colors.
The (eight) bridesmaids wore short, navy, satin dresses and the (eight) groomsmen wore grey tuxes with navy blue ties.
Because Colleen planned the wedding, she gained a lot of experience along the way. She shares, “My first piece of advice to others would be to plan your wedding as if it will be the biggest party of your life! My fiancé and I had been dating for almost nine years by the time we actually got married, so in many ways we already felt married. We planned our wedding as if it was a big party to celebrate our love and everyone that we love. We went to extra lengths to make it super fun for all our family and friends, with a photo booth, beer and wine, late night snacks, and an amazing DJ!
“My second piece of advice would be to remember that every detail does count! Some would say that I might have obsessed on some of the really small details, but at least one person commented on each piece of detail that I poured my heart into. The fact that people noticed really made my stress (and sometimes tears) worth it!”
